Four Christmas's and Growing

Santa Clause definitely came to town, several times over. We started our Christmas on Wednesday night at Gigi's mom and dad's. Blair got a pedicure set, pink tent, chair and sleeping bag. On Thursday, we celebrated Christmas number two with Poppy and Gigi. It looked as if Santa had already visited Blair when we arrived. We still have yet to collect all of her Christmas toys from Poppy and Gigi's. After a great lunch, many presents later and a marshmallow battle with the new marshmallow guns, we headed to church for our annual Christmas communion.

After communion, it was time to head one more place before slipping off to bed for the man in red to come to see us. We headed to Chris' grandparents to collect even more gifts for Blair and enjoy some family time. We were wondering if we would fit in the car with the amount of gifts we had collected. Blair had a great time playing with the family. When we returned home, we had a letter from Christopher Pop-In-Kins telling us how much he had enjoyed spending time with the family this Christmas season and what the true meaning of the season was about. He had to report back to the North Pole. We got Santa's milk and cookies ready along with the reindeer food and Blair was off to bed.

Christmas morning we invited all of the grandparents, aunts and uncles to our house for breakfast and to see what Santa left for Blair. Blair must have been really good because she got many really nice surprises. Santa left her a bitty baby, telescope, swing, baby bed, butterfly tent, four wheeler, crossbow and many other surprises. The look on her face when she noticed her four wheeler outside was priceless. She scares us all to death on it but she loves it!

After breakfast we headed to Chris' parents for lunch and my mom's for dinner for more Santa rounds. Of course, we have still not collected all belongings from houses due to car space. Our house looks as if we have more toys and clothes than a Toys R Us store. Can we say spoiled rotten? She is worth ever dime spent. We loved seeing everyone at Christmas time. We had a great Christmas and hope to have an even happier New Year.

Merry Christmas Sweet Little One!

Pink of course because pink is her favorite color.

Look at this sweet little face.
She was so excited when her daddy cranked the 4-wheeler up for the first time.

Blair found her gift outside from Santa.

Let me just say, this thing hurts like crazy. I think all of the big kids will be headed to Dick's Sporting Goods to purchase this item. Blair thinks it is funny to hit someone with the arrow. Maybe we should have thought about this one a little more!

Santa and the Fire Truck

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This is probably the last post until after Christmas. We have a busy schedule beginning today and lasting until Christmas night. Due to our busy schedule, Chris and I decided to open gifts to each other Sunday night and then Blair on Tuesday night. These two nights were the only times we had available where it was just us. Chris did very well shopping for me and I loved all of my gifts. I must admit, I did well this year with his gifts and he was very shocked I was able to pick out what I did for him.

Blair has loved opening a gift a night for the last two weeks. Last night we decided to let her open the remaining gifts. One I was anxious for her to open because that meant I no longer had to share my laptop with her. She has her own net book and she is so proud of it. It is just her size!

Not long after our gift opening we began to hear sirens in our neighborhood. Chris and I knew what was going on (Santa was on his way) but Blair thought a house was on fire in the neighborhood. Each year the fire department comes through the neighborhood in the fire truck with Santa on the top of the truck to greet all of the little ones. Kids were everywhere in the street to get a glimpse of the man in red. Santa Clause is coming to town!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

School Program and Party

On Thursday, all of the grandparents, Chris and I attended Blair's school program and party. She was so excited and sang so well during the program. She looked cute as a button. After her program we all got to attend her Christmas party. The kids had a great time making crafts, cookies and opening gifts. Here are some of the pictures from her party. Merry Christmas!

The First Gift Of Christmas....

If you have ever watched the Polar Express, you will understand the title of this post. Chris and Blair watch the movie as much as possible during the holidays. Chris and I decided that we would start today allowing Blair to open one gift per day until Christmas. So we let her pick out today's present. When she unwrapped the gift she was unsure of what it was but once I showed her, she has been all about her new towel wrap with her name monogrammed on the towel. She could not wait to take a bath and put it on. She has worn it all night.

Chris and I also opened one gift. Blair helped pick out and wrap a football he has been asking for. She was so excited for him to open the present. I got a new fleece that I picked out. I love this time of year and seeing my sweet little one's excitement.

The first gift of Christmas...

We had such a good weekend spending time with family and friends. My in-laws took Blair in Friday night and allowed Chris and I to have a date night. We went to Longhorns for dinner then to the movies. We saw The Blind Side. It was fabulous! I am definitely purchasing this movie when it comes out on DVD. This is a must see.

On Saturday, we spent the evening with Chris' family. It was nice to spend time visiting with his family. We even had a special visitor...Santa stopped by. Afterwards, we spent the night with my Dad and Lynne and attended our old church for Sunday morning service. Then on Sunday night we attended the evening service at our current church. It was wonderful!

House of Trees

Here are some of the many trees I have put up in my house to celebrate this wonderful season. I love decorating the house for Christmas.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

All are snuggled warm in our beds while visions of sugar plums danced in our heads...then Chris woke me at 4:30am to tell me it snowed. Thanks honey! Then at 6:15am he could not stand it and woke Blair up to play in the snow. By 7:30am I was serving hot chocolate to 8 kids in the neighborhood and coffee to the adults. The kids loved playing in the snow and I enjoyed watching them and taking pictures.

How neat it was to see all of the Christmas decorations covered in snow. I loved it! I managed to talk Blair into taking a few pictures for me before we started playing in the snow. Afterwards, Blair and one of the neighbors, Caroline, came in for dress-up and our "fancy" breakfast. It was fit for little princesses.
