On Thursday, Blair and I took a trip to the Splash Pad Park since Daddy went out of town on a business trip. She had a great time playing in the water and I had a great time watching her play. The pictures below are from our trip to the park.
On Friday, all of my party planning for Chris' Surprise 30th Birthday paid off. He was very surprised by the party and to see 43 friends and family members there to celebrate his birthday. We all had a great time eating, drinking and visiting. I will post pictures of this event once I get the pictures from Uncle Eric.
On Saturday, Chris and I hosted a Couples Shower for my sister, Stacy and her fiance, Eric at our home. We planned to have the shower outside but the showers kept us inside. We had a great time and they received some very nice gifts.
On Sunday, we rested!

Mother's Day
As I said in a earlier posting, we are very busy during the month of May. I am trying to play catch-up on some of the highlights from the week. As soon as Blair's dance recital was over it was Mother's Day then I was in full party planning mode. Happy Belated Mother's Day to all! Here is what Blair made me for Mother's Day. She was so proud of herself and I was proud to receive this most special gift.

The Recital
After Blair's rehearsal this morning she was ready to get back to the big stage this afternoon for her big debut. She had many people there to perform for and she was ready. Her Poppy and Gigi, Nana and Aunt Re, Grandma and of course Mommy and Daddy were there to see her perform. As I said in the previous blog, she did fabulous. Afterwards she was rewarded with flowers, gifts and her favorite, popcorn from the concession stand. We are all so proud of her!
Ballerina Blair's Dress Rehearsal
It has already been a great Mother's Day weekend. What better way to spend the weekend than going to the Alabama Theater with family to see our little ballerina's first ever ballet performance. Since August we have been attending classes preparing for this one big event, the recital. Blair looked beautiful, as she always does, and she did fabulous. I am so proud of her! These pictures are during the dress rehearsal this morning at 9:10am.

Messy Art Party
We had a busy weekend with many more to come. After church yesterday we headed to Helena to one of my dear friends house for her two sons Messy Art Party. Of all days for us to be out and about, we headed right into Hoover as the bad weather was ripping through. We took shelter in The Galleria storm area (Galerila as Blair says) along with every other person on the road, customer and employee within the store. With all of us in such a confined space I decided if the tornado did not get us, the flu probably would. Once we were in the clear, we headed out for the party again.
We had such a great time at the party and it was so nice to see our friends again. My creative friend had everything set-up for playing in shaving cream (Blair loves to play in shaving cream), finger painting, art work, etc. The kids all had a ball and created beautiful pictures. Here are some pictures from the party.

New Bathing Suit
Sweet Aunt Stacy bought Blair two new bathing suits while she was shopping. One is a pink and black bikini which she wanted no part in wearing once I undressed her from the other suit. The other suit she allowed me to take pictures of and looks cute as pie in it. Thanks for the new suits Aunt Stacy.
Can you tell I have a little one that likes to streak?
