What a Great Weekend!

We have really enjoyed our weekend. My sweet husband pulled up to our house Friday night with a big surprise for me. He surprised me with a new car. He bought me a Hummer (H3). Most of you know that I also was surprised last Christmas with a new car that 3 months later ended up sold because Chris made money off of the deal. I have threatened Chris with his life if the same happens here again with this one. Anyway, I love it and Blair loves it.

I have laughed at Blair telling everyone about her mommies new car, including some people at Wal-Mart we saw Friday night. I am unsure who is more excited, Blair or me.

Saturday Blair's soccer game was rained out but we all made the most of it and had everyone over for lunch. I love company and spending time with family. There is nothing better than being surrounded by the people you love. I remember John Beck years ago talking about "the more family, the more love." My Meme was a big believer in that saying and how true it is.

After lunch we went to see Grease at the civic center with Taylor Hicks. It was fantastic! I loved it and Blair was mesmerized for most of the show. Right before it was over she looked at me and told me, "Thank you for bringing me Mommy. Can we come back again soon?". Little does she know, she is in for another treat in November. I purchased tickets to see The Rockettes. I am pumped about going to see that performance.

Anyway, we had a great weekend and look forward to a great week. Hope you all have a great one too.

Leading Chapel

It has been decided that Blair will definitely be getting a laptop for Christmas this year. She likes to get on my laptop every night before bed. By the time she is finished and tucked into bed, I am ready to go to bed. I do not get much computer time lately between Chris and Blair.

Each Wednesday morning Blair attends chapel with her class. This Wednesday her class led chapel. We decided to drop by and see the class in action. What a blessing to see all of these little children praising God in music and quoting Bible verses. God is so good (this was one of the songs the kids sang but how true it is)!

Soccer Star

Let me start by saying my husband and I are those parents....My sweet angel had her first soccer game Saturday morning and did awesome. She scored 7 goals during her game and received the offensive player of the game. Coach Chris and I are two very proud parents. Of course, I got to the field to take some pictures and my camera was dead so her game day pictures will be coming soon. Looks like we may have a soccer star!

Our Little Vol

It's in the air! The second week of college football. It's funny how football season changes the mood of individuals. My entire department was pumped last Friday with excitement of another football season beginning. I too was excited!

We have almost finished our man cave so we were able to watch football in our new room last weekend. Blair begged for cartoons but we denied the request. I learned quickly if we want to watch football without interruption, just give the laptop to Blair and she is good to go. We have got to teach her to watch football. Oh well, she may not enjoy it now but she looks cute as a button in her uniform. Go Vols Go!

Wonder Woman

I know we still have plenty of time before the thoughts of Halloween come to mind but I like to plan in advance. I have been talking to Blair about what she wanted to be for Halloween and a few weeks ago she decided on Tinker Bell. Then we received a Halloween book in the mail and she changed her mind to a clown. Once we shopped around in the Halloween store, tried on a couple of costumes, she made a decision and I made a fast purchase. Blair is going to be Wonder Woman. I must say, she is the cutest Wonder Woman I have ever laid eyes on. Now we are ready for Trick or Treat!
